Founder, Director & Counsellor
Welcome to My Mind Place, founded by Maria Thompson
Step into My Mind Place, where Maria Thompson brings over 20 years of expertise in local authorities, social care, charity work, and mental health services to create a safe space for healing and growth.
Maria is a true visionary, having made a significant impact across various sectors by collaborating with prestigious universities and local councils. As the former Director of Services for one of the UK’s largest mental health charities, she has dedicated her career to enhancing well-being and has touched countless lives along the way.
As a counsellor, Maria has had the privilege of working with a diverse high profile clientele, ranging from CEOs, founders, artists and entrepreneurs to fitness trainers, and creative industry professionals.
Her experience also extends to supporting civil servants, social workers, and professionals from many other various fields.
Maria's qualifications include Level 5 Counselling, Complex Trauma, and Informed mastering training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts-work.
She has also completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy, adding depth to her skill set in supporting individuals and couples.
